SIBnb policies

Booking terms

The plain-English contract for booking directly with us.

Your booking

  • Your booking is with the property owners (SIBnb), not a platform. It's confirmed once your deposit is paid, and the nights are held for you from that moment.
  • The balance is due before arrival — we'll email a payment link, and you can also pay any time from your booking page.

Payments

  • All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

Your responsibilities

  • The person booking must be 18+ and stay at the property. You're responsible for your party and for the home during your stay, per the house rules.
  • We may charge for significant damage beyond normal wear and tear, and where a security deposit applies it is released after check-out.

Liability

  • You use the property and its facilities at your own risk. To the extent NZ law allows (including the Consumer Guarantees Act, which is not limited by these terms), our liability is capped at the total amount you paid for the stay.

Privacy

  • We store your booking details only to run your stay (see our automated emails), never sell them, and delete them on request — email us any time.

Law

  • These terms are governed by New Zealand law. Questions or wrinkles — talk to us first; we're the same people who answer the guest inbox.
